Miguel Marín, music composerMarin has taken his music to soundtracks for films, documentaries, dance or even theatre and video installations.At the age of 9, he started playing percusión and at 16 recorded his first album as drummer for a local band in seville. Since then Marin has written his own music and collaborated with a range of unique artists (Bigas Luna, Leo Obstbaum, Jack Davies, Richard Jobson, Erre que erre, Decalage dance company, Chamaleon dance company, Rambert and Navala Chaudhari).He lived in London for nearly a decade and worked there drumming for british post rockers Piano Magic and making music for Films and TV ( Eve and channel 4 ).In 2001 he began “Arbol“, a recording solo project that would later take him on tour around the World (Japan, USA and all Europe) and play the best music festivals (Sónar 03, 05, 06, 07, 08 and 09 NYC, Offf, Cinesthesy, Cimatics, Moves, among others)Arbol has released three albums with collaborations from Suzy Mangion, Jordi Saludes aka D-fried, Sara Fontan, Bjort Runarsdottir, Eri Makino Eugenie Garrett, John Cheves, Tim Isted, James Topham, Elias Pappas, Evagelina Marevillas from Elika and Paul Tornbohrn among many others.Arbol’s new live band include violinist Sara Perez and cellist Björt Runarsdottir.Miguel Marin worked together with film director Bigas Luna on the theme for the Spanish Pavillion at the Universal Exposition of Shanghai 2010.Marin also Works with the following dance companies:Decalage, Chamaleon, Navala Chaudhari, Erre que Erre, Bridget Fiske, Cecilia Colacrai and Joao Costa. for more info please go to works on the menu above

Victor Zambrana

Bigas Luna

Marin has been working closely with renowned film maker and artist Bigas Luna since 2001. Together they worked on films, theatre and installations such as for the spanish pavillion at Shanghai 2010 expo.
Zambrana, dancer and coreographer was offered to create a dance piece for the opening of the 18th edition of seville s contemporary dance festival in 2011. Marin wrote the score and performed along with Sara fontan on violin and Bjort runarsdottir on cello.

Richard Jobson

" The Somnambulist " is a film-documentary based on soldiers who served at Afganistan conflict. They have been interviewed, some of the stories are pretty shocky. Marin s written part of the score.

Company Decalage

" La Porte " is a duet by coreographer Mickael Marso and musician Miguel Marin who plays live music and performs alongside Marso. This piece is based on someone who wants to die but death rejects him out.
